Coast Guard called to rescue six on ice floes

The Saginaw News reports that:
The U.S. Coast Guard helped rescue six men trapped on separate ice floes in Saginaw Bay.
The first call came in Friday afternoon reporting four fishermen stranded on an ice floe southwest of Fish Point in Tuscola County.

Coast Guard Recovers Body of Panama City Beach Drowning Victim

The News Herald reports that a man drowned this afternoon in Panama city.
A resident was watching the man swim from his condo and noticed that he disappeared. The Panama City Beach Police and the Coast Guard recovered the mans body a short time later. No information about the victim has been released.

MIAMI – The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Pea Island repatriated 30 Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cubanãs Cuba, and the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Venturous repatriated 34 Haitian migrants to Port au Prince, Haiti, Saturday subsequent to three separate at-sea interdictions.

Coast Guard continues search for missing man in Atchafalaya River

NEW ORLEANS – Coast Guard crews continue to search for a missing boater who was last reported to be in the Atchafalaya River near Cow Island Tuesday.
Keith Gilcrease, 47, was reported missing by his family at 1 p.m. Tuesday to the St. Martins Sheriff’s Department. He was last seen in a 16-foot boat.
