SEATTLE – The Coast Guard responded to the 72-foot fishing vessel Sunway on fire with three people aboard approximately 12 miles southwest of Tillamook, Ore., about 4:32 p.m. today.
Rescued were 25-year-old Peter McGuinness, from Carson City, Nev., 43-year-old Tim Carr from Bonney Lake, Wash., and 40-year-old Richard Pennewell, from Edgewood, Wash.

Coast Guard reaffirms unsuitability finding for Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal proposal
BOSTON – In a letter to Weaver’s Cove Energy, LLC executives and their representatives today, the Coast Guard reaffirmed its determination that the waterway approach to the proposed Weaver’s Cove Liquefied Natural Gas terminal in Fall River, Mass., is unsuitable for LNG tanker traffic due to navigational safety challenges.
