Reversal Sought For Smith Conviction

A story in today’s TheDay reports that attorneys for former Cadet Webster Smith have filed an appeal seeking a reversal of his court martial. The court martial was the first in the history of the Coast Guard Academy. Full story at TheDay.com.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Coast Guard is in the process of transferring one individual to Atlantic City Medical Center Mainland in Pomona, N.J., today after he was pulled from a capsized boat in the Delaware River.

Coast Guard Medevas Elderly Man

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – A Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk rescue helicopter crew based in Elizabeth City, N.C., assisted local agencies and rescued a 70-year-old man this morning inland near Core Banks Island, N.C.
Rescued was Johnny Smith.
