Advanced Helicopter Rescue School is located in Astoria Oregon. This is where the U.S. Coast Guard trains the best of the best in the latest techniques and practices. The school is a week long and usually runs during the fall and spring months when the highest seas thrash the Northwest coastline.

Coast Guard Medevacs Injured Mariner off Bermuda

PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Rescue crews from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City, N.C., medevaced a man suffering burn injuries from a merchant ship 326 miles northeast of Bermuda today.
