Coast Guard Installs Temporary Light Buoy at Ambrose Light
NEW YORK-The Coast Guard installed a temporary buoy approximately 300 yards in front of the damaged Ambrose Light Navigation Aid on Nov. 7, at 2 p.m.
The Coast Guard Cutter Willow, a 225-foot vessel homeported in Newport, R.I., installed the temporary light buoy that will remain until Ambrose Light is restored.
