Tallship American Pride returns to port under escort

Coast Guard Monitors Grounded Barge Near Unalaska

KODIAK, Alaska – The Coast Guard is monitoring the salvage of a 271-foot freight barge that went aground near Unalaska today.
A tug boat noticed the barge had broken free of its mooring at 5:30 a.m. At about 8 a.m., Coast Guard Sector Anchorage was notified by the vessel owner that the barge had grounded.
